The group is open to survivors of acquired brain injury who are basically functioning independently in the community, but who are struggling with issues such as fatigue, memory, organization, communication skills, personal relationships, obtaining/retaining employment, and self-esteem.
This is an opportunity to meet other survivors who are dealing with situations similar to your own. The group explores the physical, cognitive and emotional effects of acquired brain injury. Coping strategies for memory, problem solving, cognitive and emotional difficulties are discussed, assisting individuals to interact more effectively with family members, community, school, and at work. Emphasis is on understanding individual abilities and disabilities, developing strategies, and enhancing one's self-esteem.
You can register at your first class. Call 415-461-6771 or email Patricia at:Patricia@mbin.com for more information. Also, feel free to call on a Tuesday to confirm that the class is meeting that evening.
